What are the basic essentials to performing live? I have my laptop with Ableton Live Suite on it, my guitar, a pedalboard, an amp, a mic, an audio interface with 2 inputs (XLR and 1/4 input), a bass guitar, a violin, and a cello.. I don't mean to be condescending, I just don't want to rely on meticulously pre-arranged/composed software.. BackgroundI've been a user of Ableton Live for a few years now, starting with rock music and quickly delving into more experimental and electronic stuff.

I really want to start performing it live, wherever I can But up until now, I've never done anything live, it's almost always hand-assembled: I record pieces and put them together.. But I've been researching live gear and brainstorming for a while and I'm actually kind of lost.. For those who want to sneer at the beginner and condescend me: **Again, this is an end goal, I don't expect my first demo session to sound that good..
